Just got a 17.21 charge from Linea Cinemex Complejo, on my chase debit card. Have not traveled to Mexico in quite some time and ha ve not ordered anything online. This is a definite online scam! Do not recognize this merchant. Had to close my account.
I just got a charge for $32.99 on my Chase debit card and have never been to Mexico. I have ordered online from Walgreen's and Amazon. I know those are secure sites so I have no idea where or what this charge is for. Had to close my account just in case
$17.45 here, Chase as well (though my credit card, not my debit card). I've read other accounts of this happening with a card that's never even left the house, which makes me think this isn't necessarily our fault. No one's safe from this. And has anyone else had approximately zero luck reporting these charges through the automated Chase menu? I get to where I think I need to be (when the robot starts talking about fraud and suspicious charges) but then she just says "Some vendors show up as having a different location so don't worry!" and doesn't let me get any farther. I've sent them an email.
Linea Cinemex Complejo, yep same thing! Charge for $11.40...this is a movie site like netflix, but all spanish! Don't know how they're getting credit and debit numbers but watch your back people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
$18.31 right after I used the gas station in San Pedro.
this is a fraudulent transaction, if you see this on your credit card statement on bank statement, immediately call your bank and req them to close out your card and investigate this further. The more people reporting this to financial institution the fastest this will be stopped doing it in the future. Your bank should take care of the charge and investigate this for you.
I'm in Australia, have never bought anything from Mexico and emailed my Credit Union on the weekend for more information about this transaction. They rang me, assured me the transaction was fraudulent and have cancelled my Visa debit card. Sneaky to take a small amount first to confirm that the card details are real, then go in for the balance of the account.
