This is not a donation to the charitable organization. They have opened a fraud case because of these charges seeming to be donations to them.
This is a confusing name for a camp. It was founded in 1955 by the Canadian Council of War Veterans. Maple Leaf gives children and their families living with unique challenges a safe, fun and life changing summer camp experience.
I have no idea what this is at all. I have been a member of War Museum - not at present
I look after my Mum's banking and her credit cards. Her Visa was debited by $200 by Community Publications. When I asked my Mum about it she said that a man had called and asked her if she would sponsor 4 children to go to camp. She thought he said he was from the Shriners and said that she had sponsored 4 children last year and would she do this again. (she had not sponsored any children last year. My Mum said no, this year I will sponsor 8 children.My Mum is 95 but very independent and I cannot take her credit card away but I'm afraid that she will be the target of more scams.
I do not remember giving any charity at that name ..I should call my Bank tomorrow to rectify...

Just when I thought I'd done some good..... $100 to a summer camp program for kids. I contributed to a similar call in Quebec, but always got a tax receipt. I thought it was legit.

The charge on my credit card to Community Publications Hamilton ON was for a donation for teddy bears via the Police Dept. Hope it's legit. :-)
They called to request a donation for Convenant House, Toronto. I have NOT received a receipt and have been advised that this is a SCAM. Can you please advise and/or help. thank you
