Hi, Ellena You most likely gave a charitable donation to the Hamilton Community Foundation: http://hamiltoncommunityfoundation.ca/about/ Regards, Walter

This is not a donation to the charitable organization. They have opened a fraud case because of these charges seeming to be donations to them.

This is a confusing name for a camp. It was founded in 1955 by the Canadian Council of War Veterans. Maple Leaf gives children and their families living with unique challenges a safe, fun and life changing summer camp experience.

I look after my Mum's banking and her credit cards. Her Visa was debited by $200 by Community Publications. When I asked my Mum about it she said that a man had called and asked her if she would sponsor 4 children to go to camp. She thought he said he was from the Shriners and said that she had sponsored 4 children last year and would she do this again. (she had not sponsored any children last year. My Mum said no, this year I will sponsor 8 children. My Mum is 95 but very independent and I cannot take her credit card away but I'm afraid that she will be the target of more scams.

Just when I thought I'd done some good..... $100 to a summer camp program for kids. I contributed to a similar call in Quebec, but always got a tax receipt. I thought it was legit.
