I saw the same charge on my credit balance and after I called my financial institution they explained to me that the amount showing is NOT an authorized TRANSACTION , meaning that Chevron will charge only the amount that you bough on gas. However if that amount appeared after 5 days as a transaction then you call your financial institution to clarify such charge.
