If you see this charge on your card and there's no reason for it, then your card's been compromised and you need to cancel it. My bank confirmed there've been a number of cases of this occurrence. It's not Amazon, it's some other entity trying to pass it off as such. Call your bank and cancel and replace the card now. They may even refund the charge like my bank did.

Amazon charges $79 plus tax = $89.27 as an annual fee for the Amazon Prime membership. They confirm all orders for merchandise with an email, but this one just appears on your bank statement without warning every year. If they notified you, it would increase the likelihood that you might cancel your membership so they just silently charge you and make you research forums like this.

This is a real charge for an Amazon Channel. You can see you subscriptions in amazon.ca under "Your Memberships & Subscriptions" To cancel the channel, you will need to log into your prime account at www.primevideo.com and go to "Account & Settings" and switch to "Channels" tab. I did it on a computer, not sure you have access from the mobile app.

YMMV It's for Amazon Prime channels. Some of the additional video packages/channels have 30-day trials, after which payments start kicking in. My charge was $5.99*HST/mo = $6.77/mo for the "Shudder" channel. FWIW, I personally don't remember signing up for a 30-day trial, as I'm not overly fond of the horror genre, but I could be wrong. This charge showed up on my wife's WestJet-branded RBC Mastercard for the first time as of Dec. 29th, 2021. She has reported it to RBC Mastercard (phone it in, folks!) and they recognize and are aware of this false charge. Unfortunately, you *must* cancel your existing credit card and have a new one issued -- there's no other way to stop being repeatedly charged. She got a refund of the charge amount as well.

Last month I called to see why I was getting charged for my prime membership twice. Had some one help me & they said they fix the problem. Well now I'm getting charged for calling the person last month. Yes I paid for the call last month but why did it come out of my card this month ?

As of Feb 25, 2022 I've been charged 8.25 four times in one month someone needs to fix this issue ASAP!

Charged for $11.29 twice and the transaction description is: Amazon.ca Prime Member, amazon.ca/pri BC. I have not used this credit card in several years. I also do not have an Amazon Prime account or even an Amazon account.

charged 13.64 and 4.19. On my statement it reads Amazon Channels amazon.ca, BC. Checked my account and called amazon and they indicate that they did not do the charges and advised to call bank and cancel the card

How the hell these people got my credit card information. Three charges in four days. Bank says its a scam. Had to cancel my card. I only use my card at Petro Canada gas station. Never online. Heard they use an RDIF Reader to read your card while its in your wallet, and to wrap your card in Tin Foil to blocks the reader. Reduce your transaction limit limit what they can take.

Amazon Prime BC is a scam. Not the real Amazon. So the real Amazon can't help you. The charges won't stop. Cancel your card and get a new one. Your account won't change. Get a RFID wallet for your cards, or use aluminum foil inserts or to wrap your cards. Scammers use RFID readers to read your cards information while being close enough to you. If you don't plan to use your cards, them don't carry them with you. Hope this information help someone.

It's definitely amazon. I know because i checked the merchant details on my credit card statement for the yearly subscription, that I paid myself, is the same as the multiple unauthorized monthly charges that I have been getting charged. Amazon user info got hacked probably. No longer with prime as of today. Customer service was useless.

I have received charges on my visa bill and request an immediate refund. They are not from me.

This is a fraudulent charge and isn't being charged by Amazon. Report it immediately to your credit card issuer and make sure that they remove the token that allows the authorized charge to keep getting approved, otherwise they can continue to charge your new card, too.

Charged $11.29 Sept 5, 2022 and again Sept 7, 2022 by Amazon.ca/pri,BC. I called Amazon and they have no record of charging me as I don’t have a prime account. None of my transactions on my account show these 2 charges. I’ve locked my card and am now on hold with my bank.

J'ai communiqué avec Amazon. Réponse: Cette carte de crédit n'est pas inscrite dans mon compte Amazon. Amazon n'est pas la source du prélèvement. Probablement une fraude. J'ai ensuite communiqué avec mon institution bancaire. Résutats: annulation de la carte de crédit et émission d'une nouvelle carte.

This happened to me also. I've been charged 11 times for this since last year. My bank couldn't figure out the charge and internet research led me all over the place. Found a YouTube video that explained it all. The charge comes from an Amazon Music service. I had no signed up for this and stupidly thought it was related to Prime charges overall. I ended up finding a list of all the charges via my amazon account. Ended up contacting customer service chat. They refunded me.
