Alerted that GUM CO CC, whom I have never heard of, tried to charge 0.00 twice in a row, to a canceled card. They do this to try and see if there is money on your card before making a large purchase. Once someone gets your card number, they don't just keep it for themselves, they sell it to others. Its how they make their money.. Its a scam. Its happened to me about 20 times in the last 2 months. Had to cancel 3 debit cards and close my bank account. Unfortunately, due to this pandemic, more people are shopping online, and its how these hackers are gaining access to your card information, and making a living during an already stressful time. Sad, but true. Nothing is safe anymore.

If you see this charge, it means someone has hacked your account and you should have that account closed ASAP! Someone has gotten my CC info from online and has attempted to make several purchases on to my card. Thank goodness Capital 1 MC gives alerts and I discovered early enough to cancel card. Beware when making online purchases.

I received two transactions from “Gum Co CC” on my Visa Gift Card today, I am pretty frustrated because I wanted to order my Christmas present but no, they took my money. yesterday I bought a $50 gift card at the grocery store, and bought something from Etsy that was $11.96. so that left me off with $38.04, I decided to go check my amount on my Visa gift card this morning and I saw I had two transactions and it was $30 from “Gum Co CC” and another transaction that was $8 from “Gum Co CC” so now I only have four cents left and I never spent $38 at all.

I just found a charge on one of my credit cars from GUM.CO/CC* XIAO WANG 6502043486 CA 94103 US. I have no idea who this is. I called my credit card company and reported it. They issued a credit for the $39.00 that was charged and said they will investigate it. Definitely a fraud attempt.

I didn’t remember it at first but then remembered it was a payment to buy an online travel guide. So they must be an online payment processor.
I was about to dispute this charge but after much thinking realized this is a 3rd party for people who sell their stuff online. I had a charge from them for $19 and remembered we bought blue print plans from someone on how to make a bunk bed. This must be a platform used to sell digital items.
