What is RDA*COUNTRY MAGAZINE 800- NY?

We know nothing of this company or charges. I have notified my bank of the fraud.

I don’t know the source of this transaction!

Is it Family Handyman? I bought a subscription, never received the magazine and now got charged again.

There was a charge on my account of $10.73 for RDA*COUNTRY BOOKS, I did not ordered this and don't know who this company is.

There is a charge for $27.36 that I did not authorize from RDA COUNTRY BOOKS!! I will be notifying my bank!!

I signed up to receive a repair book from Family Handyman magazine. Even though I didn't receive the book yet, I got a pre-auth charge on my card from "rda country books". I contacted them and they confirmed that is what it was for.

My charge was for a Taste of Home cook book.

I was charged $10.63 for a Taste of Home cookbook that I didn’t order. I did not authorize this purchase. This is very fraudulent business!!!

This is from Reader’s Digest. I ordered a book on home repairs and this is how transaction was listed on account.

Charged $10.73. I placed NO order.

$17.44. I placed no order.

They just charged 10.00 from my bank. I did not order this! Calling my bank!

I also have an unauthorized transaction for 10.59 for RDA*COUNTRY BOOKS, it's on a debit card that is used online very rarely, makes me wonder how they got the card#.

Just filed a fraudulent claim on my account for a charge I did not make.

They have charged my account twice in two day and I have no idea who they are.

RDA Country appeared on my Credit Card too...There is a telephone number next to their name 1-800-344-2560...RDA is the parent company of Reader's Digest...If you bought a book or a magazine online there might have been fine print that says you will be given a certain time frame to cancel or you will start receiving books or magazines automatically (perpetually)...The next publication they send you could be Birds and Bloom (for example) or anything they want to send you...You need to call that number (ask to be transferred to the United States)...Then ask to be removed from their system permanently, forever...Then you need to call your CC and dispute the charge and let them know why and that you have spoken with RDA and you want the charge refunded back to your CC...It is a shame that companies do this(scam) and get away with it. They know either people do not pay close attention (me) or they forget to call and cancel...Read the fine print...Good luck...Be Safe...Get vaccinated against Covid...You might save your own life, or someone else's life by not spreading Covid...You could be a carrier and not know it because you are not sick but you spread Covid to someone else...A friend was a pilot and this past February flew his own plane to West Palm Beach, Florida from New Jersey, to visit his mom and sister...He caught Covid and one month later he was gone...Just shy of his 54th birthday...My wife and I never felt either one of the two Pfizer shots we got, easy...Don't listen to those special people that say you don't need to be vaccinated...Everybody does need to be vaccinated for the health and safety of everybody else plus yourself and your family...Good Luck...Be Safe.

I signed up to receive a repair book from Family Handyman magazine. Even though I didn't receive the book yet, I got a pre-auth charge on my card from "rda country books. I don't know if that is why I got the $10.80 charge pending but it seems like it may be the reason. I see in other comments "Franko" called the number and they confirmed the order of same. I will be watching and waiting to see the book show up. I did get a snail mail invoice discount voucher yesterday for that same book asking for a payment within the next 15 days. I will wait to see how it plays out.

withdrawal of $14.98 for country magazine 800-3446913. In the past few weeks it was another company but in the hundreds. I am going to the newspaper and alert other senior citizens to be sure and comb through every debit in their check books. This is Theft and Fraud and a possible court suit could come of these types of transactions.

RDAcountrybooks is out of NY it's Readers Digest. I ordered a book from there about 7 days ago from a paper in the mail. I ordered the $10 special book via online. On my bank account just yesterday I saw the pending charge on my bank statement. I didn't know who RDA*COUNTRY BOOKS was who took the correct monies out of my account for a recent purchase. They never sent me a confirmation via email on my purchase so I myself was skeptical on who RDA was. So I googled it and seen this website of people asking about these RDA charges. Saw a charge of $33.93 on my checking account for RDA Country Books, it is listed as a "recurring payment" charged to my Wells Fargo account, I see that I am not the only one sucked into this scam, I am a Fraud Investigator and know a scam when I see one, you need to respond as asap, I am 76 and still working but do not put up any kind of monetary scam.

Thank you Conor for your response. I called the number and found it t be an auto-subscription that I was unaware of with Readers Digest. They cancelled the charge and future auto transactions. It only took a minute. That is a good phone number. Was much better than cancelling credit card!

I purchased one book, $10. Assumed it was the !0.53 charge from RDA*COUNTRY BOOKS. Now have to additional charges for $27.36 and $34.73. No additional books received, but did not order any.

This is a total SCAM...this is the second time I have gotten a charge on my account. This time it was for $28.25. Called the 1-800-344-2560 number. Was told (without any questions) they would remove the charge as I never ordered anything from them. Asked for a confirmation email and was told I would receive one in 24-48 hours. Told the same thing before and never got an email. Both times they just provided me with a confirmation number.

This appears to be for some book I did not order. I have had trouble with this company before for sending books I did not order. It shows it scheduled to come out 10/13/2022. Please stop it before it is able to come out and advise what else I need to do.

This is the second time RDA Country Books made an unauthorizes charge on my MC. The last time I had called them to see what the charge was for and they said it was for a Readers Digest subscription. I told them to cancel it and refund my money, and to remove the record of my credit card from there files. They did eventually credit my card but obviously did not remove my credit card.

I have no idea what this is and I want it stopped. Please refund my money back to my bank account immediately.

Charge on my account for $34.98. Odd number I think, but after reading some above comments it could be a cook book. Waiting to see if anything shows up in the near future. If not I will report as fraud.

I suddenly got a charge of $36.79 from RDA Country Books. I did not buy anything from this company. This charge is definitely a scam.

I might have unknowingly subscribed to a book last year, however they keep sending books (and charging accordingly) with no positive confirmation on my part. I called the number, and was connected with a pleasant woman that looked up my information and cancelled the subscription. Unfortunately, she could not cancel the order that was already in process -- I'm now $33.70 smarter than I was before...
