Same here. So I called Telus and it was legit. My pre-authorized pymt had bounced on them because we had a new expiry date. Once I gave them the new date they put through 2 months worth of legitimate charges called "Telus Desktop Payment Edmonton AB".
I have the same payment charges from "Telus Desktop Payment Edmonton AB" twice shown up on my visa card statement that I don't know what are they for? I am not even a Telus customer. I call Telus and they couldn't find what are the payment for? Anyone know if this a Fraud?

I have two credit charges on my visa
Had this charge come up on my CIBC visa. Assumed it was a legit payment. 5 months later, Telus sends an email saying I'm late on payment to close my home services account. I call and they have no idea what Telus Desktop Payment is. Call CIBC, they say it's been longer than 4 months and they won't do anything. Needless to say I'm moving financial institutions. Been with CIBC since 96 and have mortgages and visas with them. Thanks a lot, you know how to take care of clients, especially when you make hundreds of thousands off them over the years. ^$#! YOU CIBC.

My father had a "Telus Desktop Payment" charge made to his bank account. It was a direct payment for Telus TV, Phone, and Internet that he was behind on paying. He originally was paying his monthly Telus bill with his credit card, but he forgot to update his billing info when he got a new card. He called Telus and paid them directly, then the payment showed up on his bank statement. It is a legitimate transaction.
