I work for a Credit Card institution and see this charge on a regular basis, this is an insurance on the card more than likely. I would suggest to contact that phone number that comes up on your statement next to the transaction for more details. 888 454 6364

I work for a Canadian Financial Institution and this charge is for annual insurance. Based off the specific client I just helped with this "suspicious charge", it's insurance offered for credit and identify theft. In this case, it was a legitimate fee.

Its a scam in my opinion
It does nothing for you. They only cover charges after you call them. Not what was charged from when you lost your card until you realized you lost it. Dam, once you notify MC or the bank they cancel it for free. Banks looking to get free money. That is BS.
Got this charge for $45.19 don't know what is for Call MC stayed on the phone from 6:00 PM till 9:10 PM no answer (Your call is important stay on the line we will be with you shortly )
I did not sign up for this or give authorization for this charge "crdregistry" has sent NO information as to what they do, who they are, how to reach them, etc. SCAM! called BMO & spoke to a severely ESL person who had no idea of what this charge is for - useless. I will attend a BMO branch & speak to to staff to help me reverse this charge or I will close my accounts..

OMG these guys are TERRIBLE......I am reporting them. They charged my Mastercard for something I never authorize....then try and get in touch with them HA! what a joke, "I will connect you to an Expert" then you have to give them your credit card number for a $2.00 fee....imagine I have to pay $2.00 to have them tell ME why they did something illegal.
I have been charged by this scam in Jan. 2023 and again a month later; the second time after it was reversed by my bank's fraudulent charge dept. at my request. When I called the number listed directly below "CRD Registry" no company is identified in the recording. Further, the recording goes on to say the number is not in service but if you press #8010, for a $4.99 fee they will connect you. This is highly suspicious and my bank agreed.
